Overwhelmed

What is more overwhelming than how I am feeling right now? The fact that I just wrote a 5 paragraph blog entry that I forgot to save and therefore, it is gone forever now.

Today is the day. I'm in Seattle waiting for my next flight that will take me to Japan and my heart is so overcome with emotion for many reasons. Most of which being the fact that how much I'm going to miss everyone has finally set in. There is no going back now and Praise God for love and support He has sent me this morning.

My family brought home this cake!!

Had to say goodbye to Nick :(

Okay I'm boarding my flight!!!!! Yikes here we go.

Even Crazy Dreams Come True

The time has come to start a new blog! I will be adventuring to a new place and dancing in a new show! But we will get to that later...

Last time I was writing from Asuncion, Paraguay with Disney LIVE! I never really got around to wrapping up that adventure so I guess I'll do that here for anyone who I might have left hanging!

My time with "Mickey's Music Festival" was fantastic! I made some wonderful new friends, visited 4  countries and 1 new continent, and explored one of the 7 Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu!!! I made countless memories and experienced what it's like to be on tour and travel to a new city or country every week!

What I especially loved about this contract, was that I got a 3 week vacation between Paraguay and Peru (which is when I stopped posting on my blog). I didn't tell any of my family, so Nick picked me up from the airport and helped me surprise my mom, dad, and younger brother! I was so happy to be home for my brother's 16th birthday, my friend's wedding, my 2 year anniversary with Nick, and even Halloween! It was a perfect amount of time to enjoy being home, recuperate from working so hard, and just start to miss my friends and the show again!

Shane's 16th birthday! He's wearing the jersey I got him from Brazil :)
Nick took me on a surprise trip to San Francisco for our anniversary<333
Abraham and Sarah from the Bible for Halloween!

I traveled back one week earlier than the rest of the tour with 3 other girls so we could do a 4 day hike to Much Picchu! It was called the Salkantay Trek and it was WAY more intense than we anticipated. After our trek, we met our cast back in Lima and spent two more weeks performing in two cities in Peru. It was also during these weeks that I was finally able to announce some bittersweet news to my cast.
7 hours hiking down a mountain in the rain!
Riding in the back of trucks!
1502 steps to the top of Huayna Pichuu! That's tiny little Machu Picchu down there!

Early on in my contract I was surprised with an offer from Tokyo Disney! It has been a dream of mine for a few years ever since I first learned about the park and the shows they put on. I was thrilled to have the opportunity but was faced with a tough decision because my Disney LIVE! contract dates overlapped with Tokyo's.  In order to accept the offer for TDR, I had to leave DL6 in December and wouldn't be joining them for the States leg of the tour in January, February, and March. I had one week to decide and I just couldn't pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity! So I accepted the offer for a 14 month dancer contract, and emailed Feld Ent. to thank them for everything and let them know how sorry I was to have to leave.
The show I will be joining in Tokyo! "One Man's Dream II" at Tokyo Disneyland Resort
It was hard not to tell my friends and be excited, but I had only just arrived. So I kept it a secret up until our two weeks in Peru. My wonderful cast was completely supportive and wished me all the best even though they were sad I wouldn't be with them in the states. It makes me a little sad when I see all the pictures they've posting because I miss them all so much, but I know that I'm right where God wants me and His plan for me is perfect.

So that's what's been going since you last heard from me!

I leave for Japan in just 2 days and it's finally sinking in. My bags are completely packed and I've been spending my time at home with family and friends since I won't be seeing them for a very long time. It's been a nice vacation, but it's time for the next chapter of my life and my faith to unfold. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for me in Japan!
